My dad was the greatest!!! He raised 4 girls by his self, my mother passed away when i was very young. Losing him was very painful for me. He had cancer but they found it to late. once the doctors told him he had cancer he lived for 2 weeks. He always there for me and my sisters and of course his grandchildren. He never forgot a birthday or any occasion there was he was there. This was 3 years ago and it still feels like yesterday. Those who still have there parents please cherish them like nothing else. One day there here and the next there not. I was grateful that i got to tell my father (Gene Shaw) that i loved him. Happy fathers Dad

I went to the mall yesterday and I passed someone who was wearing the same cologne my dad used to wear and I started to tear up. Then I had a dream of my dad last night. We were dancing and i woke up crying. He died in february of 2008 and i miss him everyday. I was daddy's little girl. I am so lucky to have had him as my father. There was nothing he would not do for me. I truely know what a broken heart feels like. Dad I miss you and love you. You were the best dad a daughter could ask for and best grandfather my daughters could ask for. We talk about you all the time. Happy Fathers Day !!!!

My Dad was a very wise and kind man. He treasured the children God had entrusted to his care. he went out his way to protect his children from a cruel world. I often think of my Day, the discussions we would have. Although Dad had only an 8th grade education, to speak with him was like you spoke to a very scholarly man. I miss talking with him. I talk to the Lord about my relationship with my Dad now. I laugh a lot and I always thank God He entrusted me to such a fine human being, my Dad. I live with confident I shall one day be reunited with Dad, in heaven. Happy Father's Day Dad! Happy Father's Day My Heavenly Father.. Thank you Father God for such a kind and loving earthly father! Love my fathers!

My dad was the best. From what I can remember anyways. I lost him when I was 6. But not a day goes by that I don't think of him or remember something funny that he would do or say. I always tell my kids to be thankful that they have had their fathers as long as they have. I was also a daddy's girl. I lost my mom 6 months after dad. But people think that it is crazy that I cope with it so well. Not sure that I could have handled it if I were any older. But this is to my daddy. HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!

My dad passed over 15 years ago but I still can hear him say, "girl, you better listen to ol dad, I have been down that road". He was so wise and so important to me. Happy father's day Bill. You are the best. suep

Our dad died 7 1/2 years ago and it too still seems like yesterday. He was a very strong, loving and family oriented man. He had not been sick. He died from TTP which is a rare side effect from Plavix. He had been on Plavix for about 6 months. He woke up one day with stomach pains. He died 5 days later, right at Christmas-his favorite time of the year. We miss him every day. Happy Fathers Day Daddy!

I lost my grandfather on June 11, 2009 the day before my 26th birthday. I went to his home yesterday and saw my grandmother. She looks so sad and lonely, even though everyone is there. The Chronical read this:
Pe Ell Man Dies in ATV Crash
An 83-year-old Pe Ell man died Thursday afternoon when he crashed into a fir tree as he was riding his ATV down a wooded trail.
He was riding by himself and had been gone for some time when his wife went out to look for him.
Lewis County Sheriff’s Officer personnel were dispatched at about 3:15 p.m. Thursday after the man was found ... in Pe Ell unconscious and not breathing. He died at the scene.
We all are having a tough time with this and can't seem to grasp how to come about. This is something you wouldn't expect to happen to your family, especially your grandfather. We love him and miss him so much. One day, we will see him again. "Grandpa, tell me bout the good ol days."

I AGREE 5 YEARS AGO MY FATHER COMMITTED SUICIDE AND I CANT TELL YOU THE HURT THE LOSS OUR FAMILY HAS DEALT WITH EACH DEATH IS DIFFERENT EVEN THOUGH SICKNESS COMES IN ALL FORMS IT STILL TAKES A TOLL ON YOU. THE MESSED UP PART WAS MY DAUGHTERS AT THE TIME FOUND HIM WHEN THEY CAME HOME FROM SCHOOL.BUT EVEN NOW AT 4O BIRTHDAYS HOLIDAYS AND FATHERSDAYS SUCK.

I only had six years with my daddy. He and I spent most every day together. He enjoyed his last six years of life with me living everyday as if it were his last. He had been diagnosed with COPD early in his 40's and I think at that point of his he made a conscious decision not to let that stop him from really living life to its fullest. He spent every weekend of my beginning, planning a trip with me and my mother. He sadly left me on June 9th, 1973 at the age of 77 years old. I love him and think of him often. I miss him very much and will always have him in my heart. Happy Father's Day Daddy Casper. I love you.

I lost my Dad on 1/17/2009 I feel a big void inside that probably only who have had a loss like mine can understand. I feel he was taken much to soon from us. My Dad worked up until the age of 76 he was strong as an OX, one month after he retired he was diagnosed with Lymphoma stage 4 large cell, there was hope though because I quote his Doctor, "if your going to get Cancer this is the best one to get" The one with the most remission rate. Well he fought and fought had chemo and radiation and 11 months after being diagnosed he lost his battle due to complications of pneumonia, however the cancer was still there, stronger than ever, he was the 20% the is not curable or that go into remission. He was both Father and Mother to my Sister and I, yes we have our Mother but unfortunately we were closer to him. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of him and hope that he is in a better place. I miss him, my Sister misses him and his Grandchildren miss him the most, there is not a thing that I do throughout the day that does not remind me of him one way or another. I feel like I can write a book sometimes of how I feel. I have not yet dreamed of him, that makes me sad sometimes. I just wish I would have had more time with him. The Holidays are unthinkable for me right now, thank God I have my Children, that's all I can say. Pipo I love you so much, rest in peace. Your Daughter.

I lost my dad 5 yrs ago and it still hurts today. We were very close, there wasnt a day that he didnt call or I would call him, theres are still times when i am doing something and i will think hey i'll call pops ask him but the i remember i cant...

I lost my dad last year Thursday July 17,2008, it has been really tough, he was my person i talk to when i needed to talk to someone.I miss him when he and i went places. I miss his smile, but people have told me it's the memories that you remember and pictures that you have collected trough the years of you and family.
