At first I thought there was something wrong with me because I stopped crying and I accepted Dan's death with such courage, I filled my days with great memories and I took each day as it came. Then came the tears, the broken heart feeling, the depression and the staying in bed for days.

This last trip to the grave site hit me very hard because I did not have time to grieve one before another got sick and then passed. When my dad passed I had my mother and Dan, Then my mother, with whom I was very close, got sick then passed but Dan was there to pick me up. Soon after her passing, Dan got sick so when Dan died I had no one to even talk too.

I know I'll make it because that is who I am. I have 2 great dogs that have attached themselves to my hip since Dan passed, so we fill our days with long walks or rides. but for now, it is baby steps!

I am so glad I have found this site to be able to correspond with others who totally understand.

Thank you again for your words of encouragement , they really meant a lot to me.
