Another Death in the family

Recently my family experienced yet another death in our family....My sisters husband died at the early age of 53. Life is so short for some of us. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone.....Thats why its so important that we appreciate the life that God has blessed us with. And to live each day to his praise honor and glory.   I am truly grateful for the courage and strength my family has shown always trusting in Jehovah for strength and relying on his promises in the Bible about the hope of the…See More

Peace from God

This scripture along with prayer has helped me tremendously during my many grieving periods.(Philippians 4:6, 7) Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving let YOUR petitions be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God that excels all thought will guard YOUR hearts and YOUR mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.I love the fact that God will guard our hearts and our mental powers, when we are grieving and depressed over our loved one…See More

Missing our loved ones who have passed away!

My sincere condolences to those who have lost someone in death. During certain times of the year (Holidays, Birthdays, anniversaries) it can be extremely hard to cope with the loss of a loved one. My prayer is that you find peace and inner strength to cope during this difficult time. Rev 21:3,4, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning outcry or pain be anymore the former things have passed away.See More

Hope for those who have died!

What wonderful promises God's word holds out for our dear loved ones who have passed away.(Acts24:15) and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.(John5:28, 29) Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a…See More

A word of comfort

This is a very encouraging scipture to meditate on when we are feeling overwhelmed by the loss of someone we love dearly. (Psalm46:1) God is for us a refuge and strength, A help that is readily to be found during distresses.Rely on God for strength and comfort especially when we feel like we can't take it anymore. Grief can be so overwhelming and draining.May you find comfort, hope, and strength from the scriptures.See More

Comfort for Today

Can you imagine a time when the effects of death won't be here to burden us?  Well that's exactly what God promises in his Holy Word the Bible.  Meditate on these verses today and may they bring you Comfort, Hope and Peace.(Isaiah 25:8) He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces. And the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for Jehovah himself has spoken [it].(Revelation 21:3, 4) With that I…See More

Hello Miss Margaret. I happened to be reading your post's, and I said This Has To Be A Sister! Lol, and then later on I read your post about you being in the Sign Language group, and I just wanted to say hi to my fellow sister of the faith. I used to go to the ASL congregation in Detroit, MI. But then for unfortunate reasons we had to go back to english. But Just saying hi, and its good to see other sisters doing the same, as bringing comfort to others.

Your Fellow Sis,

Sister Victoria H. :)

Margaret, I really appreciate your blog I hope you won't mind if I plagarize your comforting words and 'share' them with others. It is true what you have said I hope people will take time to look up the scriptures you have cited. They will truly see that a God of love would never, ever rip babies from their mothers arms or have some nefarious 'plan' in mind for our deceased loved ones that would necessitate separating us from them. We can take heart tho' that God is poised to destroy our enemy Death and restore our loved ones by means of Jesus Christ and the resurrection  Thank-You Sylvia
