my son was struck and killed by lightning in his own back yard 6 years ago this past June 8. He was my only child, 33 years old. I was by myself when I got the news and it was something that I will never understand and will always wonder why. He had been married 2 years, no grandchildren. Now there is just me an my dog, Sissy. I was divorced from his father when Tim died. It took me 3 years to accept his death and talk to God again. I was so angry with him for taking my son. I had to realize that he belonged to God and God was just loaning him to me. My faith is stronger now, but I still question WHY?

I have no contact with my former daughter-in-law. She blamed Tim for dying and doesn't want anything to do with us because we remind her too much of Tim. I found out that she had married a year and a month after Tim's death. I can accept that but not her just completely ignoring us. I have asked for Tim's pictures back but she won't call me or contact me. She is a very selfish woman.. Tell me more about your daugter...

i am so sorry for your loss. the pain will dull some, but never leave. i lost my son aug 20, 2005 to a motorcycle accident. it has changed my entire life. hurrican katrina happened the very next week
