My entry into this sad club began with a phone call on 4-12-11 at 2:30 pm. It was the FHP asking me if I knew my daughter had been in an accident. I said no. There was no way they could have been talking about my 20 year old daughter who had gotten up at 5:00 am to be to work at Kohl's by 6:00am. Not my daughter who called me when she got there and called me when she clocked out at 11:15 am. She said she was tired and on her way home. She called me at 11:30 and said her friend Randi had…

While my home still has a teenager with all his friends coming over, football games, girlfriends and a five year old who just had his first day of school, field trips coming up, etc. My home is full of activity.....his is now empty and quite. I worry about him and his wife constantly because when I graduated college and moved I let Carson stay with his dad because he didn't want to leave his friends and school. Their world revolved around Carson. Their home was full of hustle and bustle thanks to him.....one day it was full of all things Carson and the next it was cold and lifeless. They locked his room up....I'm surely afraid it will stay that way. My heart aches for all of us who have lost children and while most times this site brings me comfort, it also brings me grief. To read each other's stories of our beautiful children who we mourn for, long for, and miss everyday. My prayers are with you and my love.
