The best book I read on overcoming grief?

I was reflecting on the best book I read while trying to overcome grief. My vote would go to Elizabeth Gilbert’s bestseller,Eat, Pray, Love, which I think resonated with me more than many books on grief or emotions.

I picked up copy of Gilbert’s bestseller, right after it had been featured in The Wall Street Journal in 2008. This was a few months after our son abruptly died on an…

Review for my book: A Child Lost in Flight

Please find below a recent review for my book "A Child Lost in Flight" Request you to send your reviews over to me

How do we as compassionate human beings handle loss and tragedy? Most of us inherently help others when needed, shed tears as a sign of empathy for a friend or colleague, and react in fear when something or someone threatens our personal being or our family…

A Little Bit of History

Hello and thanks for stopping by to take a gander at my page. I'm new here, and am excited to be here to offer support to anyone needing it.

Let me begin by saying that losing a child or loved one is never easy. People deal with their own grief at different times and events in their lives. For instance, my son C.J. who was 2 years old in 1996 passed from Congestive Heart Failure. He was born in 1994 with…

The Loss of a Child

My son Jon passed away in 2003 at the age of 20.  The tragedy of losing my child has in turn made me a more spiritual person.  I believe that this is Jon's gift to me.  Following his death I began to experience things that I knew were messages from my son. To share your story please visit www.thechildwelost.com  God Bless you, Susan Casadei

Share Happy Memories

I lost my son May 9, 2008 at age 18. I have shared my story of grief and healing with many, I thought it would be a great idea if we all shared a story of a happy time with our child or loved one, something that will make us smile.

It's

Just so hard sometimes, you fall to the ground and you just ask why, there is no why ~ it is what it is.

I am grateful for my daughter and son, and am grateful that Jonathan lived 3/4" of his life happy - not many can say that.
