I spent the last 10 years caring for my sweet dear sister Abby. She has been gone a year now and I can't believe how much I miss her. She passed 9/4/07 had a birthday 10/4 and then with the holidays it magnifies the loss. We went through so much together and now there is a big empty hole in that part of my heart. She suffered terribly with mental illness and I take comfort in knowing she is in the arms of the Lord. I created her site so I could really go to it and feel her presence. I created a garden for her and that gives me solace as well. I am not sure what I need at this point other than just to keep her memory alive and help other families that deal with the dreadful disease of mental illness and the unfortunate stigma that goes with it.
